I would be extremely pedantic in my response, breaking down the context, the connotations, the initial reflex to those connotations. In short, I would take a very long time on clarification to make the interrogator look really stupid for even asking a rhetorical (theoretical) question under such circumstances.

What about mental conditions exacerbated or brought on by being falsely suspended? Then telling HR and a manager over the phone you are an emotional wreck and not doing well at all. You are seeking professional help, but won't get an appointment for a month. Also that you need to go on a leave once all this is cleared up for mental health reasons. In the meantime they create a pretext case against you. They extend your suspension, which causes more stress, depression and PTSD. Bring you back just to fire you before you were able to seek help thus cutting off your medical benefits. Could that be considered violations of FMLA? Oh and this doesn't even touch on the fact they fired me (white) because a black person lashed out at me, then pulled the race card spouting lies to save their butt.

I had a case where an employer was just trying to get rid of me. Not only did I stand up to her, A friend reported her to upper management & she backed down.

I've noticed these false accusations happen when there's jealousy in the workplace, like a man talking to a woman, etc. If they falsely accuse you, deny it, then quit.

if i was hired with a 1 year contract, paid per diem to move to where the job is, and signed a lease, plus paying a lease where i live, but the employer work is completed before the contract is up, and now they let you go, but now your stuck with both lease, and is not being paid for the rest of the contract term.

I was fired today from work because somebody supposedly seen me stealing company gas in reality that was a lie because me and the coworker had her own personal issues and it just so happens that my management was looking for any single reason to terminate me because I found a better opportunity to work elsewhere.And that coworker knew that. I was denied and then turned on investigation and we do not have an HR department my supervisor ignored my story and denied me to see proof or evidence of what I was accused of. It’s his word against mine and he said he has more trust in that coworker and and not in me he said. And that was his reason, my word against his.

I just got wrongfully terminated, and sadly, they let me go because of a false accusation I got from other employees that I don't get along with. Yet with the investigation being on they didn't give me Sympathy but instead chose to terminate me. 😢 Plus I also suffer from speech impediment, loss of hearing and loss of vision, yet they didnt see that and have brush me off. Plus they even judged me for the way they dress and the way how I talk.
